What is computer guitar?
This is a fairly new term.In short ,what I'm doing is running a guitar synth into a computer via midi software.

Has this technology been around long?
Actually, it has. I thought about trying this a few years ago,but I was more involved in other things at the time.

How does this work?
The sounds from the guitar travel through a guitar synthesizer.A magnetic bar or pickup device on the guitar enables the sounds to be converted into synth sounds. The sounds from a keyboard are linked to these two things as well. As you might have guessed,the sound moves through a number of things before it even reaches the computer.A midi interface connects all of this to the computer.Midi music software handles all the data after that. The result is that you now have a guitar that can play piano sounds,drumsets,and a whole host of other sounds. I'm amazed that this technology even exists.
